Just because you EBF, doesn't mean that you're a better parent than the ones who don't.

FYI2: I have nothing against mothers who do EBF. Just the ones who think they're better than everyone else.

I agree. I made it a point soon after Emilie was born and we switched to formula to distance myself from women who had some sort of breastfeeding superiority complex. It's just unnecessary.

my grandma is still a boob nazi every once in a while. She'll be like, "Sydney would never be this sick if you had kept up with nursing her."

It still hurts that I wasn't able to BF her. She just wasn't gaining weight and she ate constantly and fell asleep with mouthfuls of milk. I'm still trying to get over that and my grandma constantly rubs it in.

Those are what we call Boob Nazis. I don't like the term 'Nazi' because it should only pertain to one type of person. Sadly, we've come across people like that and it's really annoying. I'll admit, I was really interesting in a lot of it for a long time before Syd/Jude was born so I learned a lot. I do think breastfeeding is best for the child, BUT I think as long as they are healthy, gaining weight [healthy!!], and being fed [formula/BM] - then that's all that matters. :)

Some women can't make it past a certain week. Because their child isn't gaining weight [it's more common than you think], or because the mother needs more convenience. It doesn't make her 'superomg' selfish imo. Things happen!
